Community Health Worker Training

15th Night's OHA-approved CHW training includes 80 hours of in-class instruction and 10 hours of optional field trips and/or homework to prepare participants to become Community Health Workers.

A Community Health Worker (CHW) is a frontline public health worker who bridges the gap between community members and health or social services. CHWs are trusted members of their community with deep knowledge of the community they serve. 15th Night's training prepared participants to leverage their knowledge, cultural responsiveness, and relationships to increase access to care, community, and social services. This ultimately leads to improved health outcomes.

Registered participants will have ongoing access to course materials and class recordings through their cohort portal.

Save the dates: Our next CHW training will take place during the weeks of August 10th - October 12th, 2026.  Classes meet from 9 am - 1 pm, twice per week for 10 weeks, either virtually, in person, or both.

Registration will open soon!

OUR PURPOSE

Youth who are new to the streets are more likely to become chronically homeless if there is no intervention within 15 nights. We are a youth-informed community movement to end youth homelessness by connecting existing resources and finding innovative ways to keep youth in school and off the streets.
